Cover Editorial — Rollup Magazine, Print Issue #54, VOL.7 Big promises. Fake tears. The cover they didn’t see coming.
Betrayal has a specific aesthetic. It is not ugly. It is immaculate — perfectly dressed, perfectly lit, perfectly composed. That is the horror of it. For this cover editorial, the concept lives in the gap between the surface and what is happening underneath it: the silk, the posture, the gaze that gives nothing away, and the story you only begin to read once you look longer than you were supposed to. This was also a deeply personal piece of post-production — the retouching is not correction. It is interpretation. The image needed to feel like a memory of something that hurt, filtered through the particular light of someone who has decided not to cry about it anymore.
